The most delicious and easiest sausage gravy recipe around! Not only can this recipe be made gluten free and dairy free, it’s the perfect gravy to pair with biscuits in the morning! My dad is a huge fan of B&G. Every time I make it for breakfast, I make sure I save some for him. In his words, “Oh yeah, it’s great!”
12oz Pork Sausage
4 T Flour ( I use Gluten Free)
2 1/2 C Milk ( I use Original Almond Milk)
1 t salt
1/2 t pepper
Hot Sauce to taste
In a medium sauce pan cook sausage and crumble; about 10 minutes (Do not strain the fat)
In the same pan add in flour and stir until combined
Cook mixture for 3 minutes to get rid of the raw flour taste
Add in salt and pepper and stir
Add in milk, being sure to whisk constantly to rid any lumps from forming
While stirring, bring to a boil and cook until gravy has thickened
Add in a few dashes of hot sauce depending on your heat preference ( I typically add in 4 dashes)
Salt and pepper to taste
Serve over sliced biscuits or on top of your favorite breakfast casserole
